JEM Contracting is a general contracting business started in 1990 by Joseph M.Evans. Specializing
in remodeling, JEM started small--completing one job at a time. JEM informed its customers what
the procedure would be and what to expect each day, when possible.
JEM believes that communication is the key factor in maintaining a large client based company, as
well as turning out a professional job each time. In 1998, JEM started commercial remodeling and
took the same approach as it always has - communicating with the architects, as well as the owners
and people occupying the premises. JEM grew substantially since starting its commercial division,
which required hiring many employees. JEM hires it's employees based on field skills, as well as
people skills. Each of our empolyees is trained on how to treat customers as customers, not just
another job. NO matter if it is large or small, all customers are approached with the same
professionalism.
Since starting commercial remodeling, JEM has worked with many subcontractors, some of which
didn't meet our requirements. We now have a long list of subs that meet our expectations and keep
a good relationship with everyone. Some were here when we started and still continue to work with
us. Although JEM's commercial division is constantly growing, we still and always will have our
residential remodeling, specializing in all types of siding, windows, complete home renovations and
home additions.
